On this ball-four pitch to the Nationals' Denard Span, Richards unintentionally went back to being a kid bouncing pitches off a garage door back to himself.
While he missed his spot on the throw, Richards' play will remind many of summer afternoons thumping a rubber ball off the door and hoping a wild pitch doesn't break a window.
