Young girl wears altered Ray Rice jersey with strong message (PHOTO)

While many Baltimore Ravens fans got caught up in the Ray Rice frenzy and started burning their No. 27 jerseys as a form of protest, one Baltimore family altered their daughter’s Ray Rice jersey to offer a simple message in a more constructive way.

The family says the young girl's "BE NICE TO GIRLS" jersey is an alternative to other acts of violence and destruction — including the torching of jerseys.

And since jerseys are extremely flammable, it's a safer option too.
