A.J. Pierzynski attempts to frame pitch that bounced five feet in front of home plate (VIDEO)

Framing a pitch is a one way for catchers to get their pitchers a sneaky strike on throws that are borderline close to the zone. The art form has been perfected by few but questioned by many as they angrily get called out on Ks.

And during Monday's Giants-Braves game, Atlanta catcher A.J. Pierzynski actually attempted to frame a breaking ball that bounced about five feet in front of home plate.

A.J.'s comical attempt at getting a strike call on a pitch in the dirt didn't fool umpire Dan Iassogna, but yes, in cricket, it would be a strike, wicked googly or whatever they call it.
